Vapour Recovery Processes
Aker Kvaerner has developed a highly efficient concept for Carbon Vacuum-regenerated Adsorption - the CVA system, which has formed the backbone in our product portfolio since the mid-nineties.
We also offer a range of various CVA systems for special applications and we continue to offer the original CLAB system.
Over the years, a number of different processes have been applied for vapour recovery. These include Direct Condensation, Cold Liquid Absorption (CLAB), Membrane Separation, Cryo Condensation, Pressure Swing Adsorption (Activated Carbon) and several others.
In the past decade, recovery by means of activated carbon has emerged as the prevailing technology.
